Spiaggia Lilla
The beach is freely accessible both for wheelchair users and for blind and visually impaired people. Wide walkways allow access to the various areas of the beach and to the sea, with a rope handrail running along the path.
The changing cabin measures 150×150 cm; the upper door width is 80 cm, with a lever handle. Job and Solemare chairs are available.
The swimming area is marked with buoys and includes a sound buoy to help blind and visually impaired people orient themselves. Assistance and support in entering the water are provided by young members of the Club Vela Camogli association — www.clubvelacamogli.it (tel. +39 3358234339).
Accessible toilets (door width 80 cm, lever handle, grab bars) and outdoor wheelchair-accessible showers are available.
Additional services
Two transparent canoes are available; one is equipped with a stabilizer suitable for people with reduced mobility or disabilities. The transparent canoes allow visitors to explore the seabed of the Marine Protected Area and are part of a project promoting social inclusion and environmental awareness, especially for those who cannot go underwater.
Possibility to use the multifunctional small boat equipped with a 5 kW electric motor prototype, with a battery that can be used for approximately one hour. The first boat of its kind with an electric motor to operate in Liguria, built by the company Exo Kayak of Casarza Ligure, the boat guarantees the transport of people with disabilities (on-board capacity of up to 4 wheelchairs).
Possibility to access the sea via the self-propelled electric tracked vehicle “Alvaro” (Marca&Volta srl), capable—thanks to its amphibious nature—of reaching the shoreline and continuing directly into the sea, overcoming slopes of up to a maximum of 30%. Adjustable seat height up to 700 mm from the ground and 90° rotation, with the ability to move laterally up to the edge of the track to facilitate boarding and disembarking.
Boat excursions to San Fruttuoso are available by reservation using a 5 m motor catamaran with a flat bottom and an access ramp capable of transporting 4 people in wheelchairs. For information, contact Club Vela Camogli: www.clubvelacamogli.it, tel. 3358234339
